George Tsiatis is the CEO of Enactus and Resolution Project. Since Resolution’s inception, George has been one of the driving forces behind the organization, co-developing some of its core programs and building the organization to its current levels. He is a member of the Board and the Executive Committee. He also serves as a Guide to several Fellows.
Prior to taking the helm at Resolution, George co-founded and grew Group 113, a certified B Corp providing impact-focused organizations with branding and marketing services, and was the company’s Managing Director for over 10 years. He has played various roles in launching several additional entrepreneurial ventures over the years. Before Group 113, George began his career at a major New York City public relations firm. George also serves on several boards and advisory boards.
George earned his BA with honors from Harvard with a Special Concentration in Byzantine Studies and his JD with high honors from St. John’s University.
Rita Gail Johnson is the COO of Enactus and Resolution Project. She has oversight of the organizations’ operations, programmatic efforts, financial management, staff performance, and goal setting.
For much of her career, Rita was a management consultant, advising multinational corporations in the US, Europe, and the Middle East on strategic planning and merger integration. More recently she has focused exclusively on nonprofit organizations, serving in a variety of roles, including Chief Operating Officer, Program Director, member of the Board of Trustees, and pro-bono consultant. Rita holds an AB, cum laude, from Harvard and Radcliffe Colleges, and an MBA from Harvard University.
Mikena Manspeaker is the Acting Country Leader at Enactus United States, fostering social entrepreneurship and sustainable development among students. She began her career with four years in corporate financial planning and analysis, honing her skills in financial strategy and business operations. Transitioning to the nonprofit sector, Mikena spent the next four years dedicated to addressing climate change and promoting social entrepreneurship, where she specialized in grant management and program management.
During her tenure in the corporate world, Mikena developed a robust understanding of financial frameworks, which she now applies to her work in the nonprofit sector. At Enactus, she combines her financial acumen with her commitment to social causes, guiding student-led projects that aim to create a positive impact. Mikena’s experience in grant management has been instrumental in securing funding for various initiatives, ensuring their sustainability and success. Her journey reflects a blend of corporate expertise and a deep-seated drive to effect social change.
Her passion for Enactus began during her college years at the University of Pittsburgh, where she participated as an Enactus student. At the University of Pittsburgh, she earned her Bachelor of Science in Finance. Mikena is originally from Pittsburgh, PA and now resides in Asheville, NC.
Miranda Alfano-Smith is a Program Associate at Enactus United States, where she contributes to fostering social entrepreneurship and sustainable development among students. At Enactus, Miranda works closely with faculty, student teams, and stakeholders across 50+ universities to deepen the engagement of the Enactus USA network. She supports event management, particularly around the annual United States Expo, and collaborates with the Enactus Global team and the Resolution Project to develop strategies that empower young leaders in creating sustainable solutions to global challenges.
Miranda’s passion for social justice and advocacy began during her undergraduate years at the University of Washington, where she earned a Bachelor of Arts in Gender, Women, and Sexuality Studies. Her professional experience includes program management, community outreach, and digital communication roles, such as serving as the CREATE Program Coordinator at Oasis for Girls in San Francisco. There, she led initiatives like social media campaigns that increased program applicants and designed an after-school program for young girls of color, adapting to virtual and hybrid formats during the COVID-19 pandemic.
With a Master of Public Administration in Public and Nonprofit Management and Policy from New York University’s Robert F. Wagner Graduate School of Public Service, Miranda brings a strong foundation in social impact and community building to her role. Although originally from the Bay Area in California, and having just spent the last two years in New York City, Miranda now resides in Seattle, Washington enjoying both the rainy days and the beautiful views that the Pacific Northwest provides.
